  • Sorry I can't comment, but my company web filter blocks it... [:'(]

  • You are not a client, are you? [:D]

  • Some of them are really good, some of them are really useless. But it's fun to read one and then spam the office with it, hearing laughter erupt from everywhere.

    Drak

  • The top 20 is HILARIOUS.  I couldn't contain my laughter.

  • Some of those are pretty funny, thanks for the linkage...

  • A related anecdote

Not in the "client" sense as it is "user".

You first have to understand that typically drivers in Singapore are
trained to operate manual-transmission cars. Sure, most move on to
automatics straight after passing, but manual is your first experience.

Many years back when we studied in Australia, a friend rented a 2-litre
car that was, by default, automatic transmission. Back then, he had
little driving experience with a manual, and none
at all for automatic. The car apparently was driven into the garage by
the company, and he and another friend later on boarded the car. Since
he had little experience, my passenger friend was naturally.... worried.

    Passenger: "Everything ok?"

    Driver: (concentrating hard) "Yes yes."

Driver steps on throttle pedal, and the engine displays its power by rambling really loudly as it spins into high-rev. The car stood still.

    Passenger: (panicky) "whoa! everything ok?"

    Driver: "yes yes. No problem."

A second attempt, with the same roaring result.

Passenger: (looks at gear stick) "Hey, you have it set to Park mode" (P)

Driver: "Oh, you mean 'P' doesn't mean 'POWER'?"

This is the correct moment for the passenger to leave the car, gently close the door, and not to look back...
