Apple now bigger than Google + Microsoft + Facebook.
I wonder if this is big news or small?

This is dumb news. It's a different continuum.
Stock price doesn't correlate at all with real-world value. If, magically, every Apple product on Earth disappeared tomorrow we'd be pretty annoyed I guess. If every Microsoft product disappeared, we'd be in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome shoveling pig shit and tires at the crack of Master Blaster's whip.
I think the Apple thing is some form of mass hysteria, like that one in Washington State in the 50s where everybody suddenly saw mysterious black spots on their windshields and went nuts.

On the contrary. I'm pretty sure if millions of people simultaneously lost their iPhones, the whining we'd hear would still incite about as much violence. The only difference is the violence would only be directed at the whiners who are too wimpy to fight back, and it would only take a day or two before things went back to normal in the world, albeit with a lesser world population.
