I love puerile acronyms, I seem to remember mentioning in some previous posts I've made bits of software called UNFUCK (the Undo New File Usage Change Kernel, its not really a kernel but it sounds IT so management loved it) , ARSE (Advanced Rescue System Environment) which itself included an option to stimulate the CLIT (Command Line Interface Terminal), all of which were documented as part of a BOOBS (Basic Object Oriented Binary System).
I didn't think I'd get away with this latest immature piece of toilet humour but well...
... all this touchscreen gadety stuff is great, if you are selling an mp3 player, I mean look at the ipod, shit mp3 player, wouldn't play standard formats, tied to apple, can't even replace the battery but it sold because it was fashionable. Thing is we aren't selling mp3 players, we are selling <INDUSTRY SECTOR CENSORED> and whilst the gadgety stuff might sell one or two, the big tenders send off to independent test houses and they test how accurate we are, how fast the results are and how stable the product is over time, temperature and number of uses.
I say to him:
The three words you need to keep in mind are: Accurate, Swift and Stable.
So he sends round an email saying we need to concentrate on A.S.S.Acronym win! I've still got it.
