  • I just started getting this in reply to any mail sent to a specific mailing list of our domain zzzz.com (the mail for which is handled by an external company):

    <xxxx.yyyy@zzzz.com> (expanded from <mailinglist@zzzz.com>):
    host 10.2.3.30[10.2.3.30] said: 554 Service unavailable;
    Client host [10.2.2.20] blocked using list.dsbl.org (in reply to RCPT TO command)

    So actually there is one of their internal servers who has banned another of their internal servers using a RBL.

    Not sure if TRWTF is not listing the internal network as trusted/whitelisted or list.dsbl.org containing a RFC 1918 address block.

    Former. Local ruleset should override global ruleset; one of the Postfix FAQs is about "allow mynetworks" being high up in the chain because initial confirgurations submit internal email to the same checks as external (and found it bounced).

    The DNSBL is correct in listing private IPs - prevents spoofing and connections from badly-configured mail clients, in particular trojaned machines.

    (I used to receive many connections purporting to originate from 192.168.0.1).

  •  TRWTF is that dsbl.org stopped working in 2008.

    That's my IP address.  Sorry about that.

    That's my gateway. Are you set up as my proxy so you can steal all my data?

    I think we are all leeching on the same wireless D-Link because that's also my gateway. We should organize a LAN party. Anyone has that cool western mod for Half-life?

    Both of yous know nothing about hair. That color is not orange, it's ochre.
