There's really not much more I can add here.

This looks like the kind of thing Bubs would sell to Strong Bad, but at a much higher price.
-
The shipping is more expensive than the actual goods. What else is new?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintage-Ogivar-Laptop-Computer-/160726776328That's the computer Mabel was using to write a stupid novel. I told her she could work on it as long as it did not interfer with me getting hot meals and cool beer. Look what she made me do. Stupid cow.

I guess it includes time machine, because this computer from 1971 includes a 286 processor (released in 1982 according to wikipedia).

Correction: Down there he even acknowladges the PC is from 1988. WTF? / Ogivar 286 Portable (June 1988, laptop PC) /

Indeed, a 1988 computer from 1971. I don't see anything wrong with that! Though if it powers on why don't they know if it's OS/2 or MS-DOS?

I was going to bid until I realized it only had EGA video. What a pile of crap.

CGA can be convenient because it is tv-gear-compatible. VGA can be convenient because it is VGA-compatible and could be potentially used as a shortcut/badcronym for "vagina". EGA is just like a tablet - a technology that adds no value and serves no specific market but that somehow fooled people in spending their money.

Wow, those are extremely rare. I haven't seen one since the late 60's.

That really made me laugh. A friend showed me that site in, I guess, 2004/5, if I recall correctly. Watched all of it, it's so hilarious. I just wish the creators would make new ones...

Seller confirms that it is indeed the 1971 model

Seller confirms he has no idea what he's talking about. There's no way that thing was made in 1971 with a 3.5" HDD and FDD. 1988 is much more likely.

Do you think? 1971 predates the Altair by 5 years and the Intel 8008 by 1.

Then this changes everything.

The seller has already turned down 3 offers, since he obviously can't afford to accept anything less than the full $30 for this beauty.
All of his other auctions are for German Death Head belt buckles.
That is all.
