Quite a stack

  • I installed collectd so I could monitor the server I'm writing. Turns out the server uses several terabytes of stack.

  •  Welcome to the Stackedservers.com, the first porn site of busty machines! Please, choose from our cathegories: big stack, huge stack, natural stack, big stack and thick cable, big stack interplatform...

  • Don't miss our newest addition: Wild, untamed, uncontrolled recursion... Watch big ... messy ... functions that just don't know when to stop ...

See how they go deeper ... deeper ... deeper than you'd ever imagined...

Limited offer, this week only. You know you want it.

What? No category for us that prefer big heaps? I want the constant memory leaks filling big heaps!

  • You know that most women don't like deep recursion and you'll definitely run out of stack space quickly?

  • It's the new Deep Recursion programming methodology. You wrap every successive instruction in a function call. This makes it much easier to implement things like exception handling and XML parsing. Branching gets a bit dicey, though.

    Sexy.

  • This reminded me of something I saw on a client's bandwidth chart a month ago.

Let's see if this thing knows how a BBCode IMG tag works!

    Is this your client?

  • Hah. Nah, I run a small VPS provider. SolusVM glitched up on this guy and reported a 60.9 PB/s bandwidth spike. I know he uses a ton of bandwidth (about 800GB a month) but a 60.9 PB/s spike is really pushing it!

If anyone's wondering, this is the melody.

Lies! But +1 on finding that on NPR.
