Atari's internal emails 1982-1992
-
This is pretty awesome. A former worker at Atari has posted all the internal messages he received via Vax Mail during his ten years at the company.
It's like a time machine. Some of these are very entertaining.

Was it Atari who got caught burying truckloads of video games in the desert, trying to cover up the fact that they weren't selling?
-
Yup.
Quite a famous story of how wrapping a well-known (and well-loved, at the time) brand around a complete turd does not make it smell of roses.
-
I only now get the idea to ask:
What is a "memo"? People talk as if it was some kind of paper-based email, but I though back then there'd be bulletin boards in the hallway or something?
-
Short for memorandum.
-
Aha.
