Category selector useless on iPad
-
So I'm running a week or so old iPad with iOS 9.something.
Trying to create a topic from the front page of Discourse yields me a category selector that only shows me 3 categories, and where it buries the editor under the keyboard because Discourse, it will frequently treat "hide keyboard" as "blur event on drop down" and hide the fucking thing anyway. So stupid.

I... see?

Short version, creating a new topic on iPad is basically impossible from the topic list or not at the end of a topic itself, because their fix for the post editor on iPad only applies to the post content and not the category box.
The original bug is iOS treats "fixed" elements as positioned absolutely to the edge of the page they were fixed to when the keyboard appears (meaning pre-fix, if you tried replying in the middle of a topic, it would auto load the rest of the topic, or crash the tab).
They also didn't put that fix on the search box, so you can't do a Discosearch on iPad unless at the top of the topic list or a topic.

Maybe you should tell @end

Maybe you should tell @end
Smashing my face against a wall would be less aggravating and feel more productive.

Which is why I didn't suggest that.
