Are there any browsers that aren't bad?

Is there any browser left that isn't/won't go to shit?

Chrome is fine if you have lots of RAM and don't care about rendering Unicode characters that aren't in the first font it picks.

The best move is to head it all off and use Sleipnir straight away. It's weird and slightly broken, but I can't imagine it getting worse.

If you want the best of 90s GUI and lots of oddities, try LUNASCAPE!

Doesn't sound too bad.

telnet example.com 443
The user interface is a little bit complex, and involves a bit of simple math on your part each time you make a request, but at least there are no pop-ups.

wget, using regex to parse out the formatting...

I generally do not connect to web sites from my own machine, aside from a few sites I have some special relationship with. I usually fetch web pages from other sites by sending mail to a program (see git://git.gnu.org/womb/hacks.git) that fetches them, much like wget, and then mails them back to me. Then I look at them using a web browser, unless it is easy to see the text in the HTML page directly. I usually try lynx first, then a graphical browser if the page needs it (using konqueror, which won't fetch from other sites in such a situation).

Also, suggesting regex for html parsing puts me at odds with The Jeffmeister, which has to be a good place to sit.

You'd think so...

You could try posting the URLs in a private Discourse topic (like a message) then hope they onebox set up Discourse to send you an email for new posts in that topic and then try to read the email you recieve with lynx or whatever.
Positives:
- none
Negatives:
- Your way is more convoluted than whatever the fuck you posted
- You can only access websites Discourse oneboxes (though, why would you ever need unwhitelisted sites? )
- Discourse
couldwill die every once in a while - Discourse
mightwill definitly kill your email server - You are using Discourse
- Jeff is probably unable to contain his happyness about you using Discourse to browse the internet
- You need a normal browser to set this up, rendering this whole thing even more useless (could be a positive?)

If you get a better math parser it means:
You can't post anything worse than that way (which is now your way)It makes perfect sense!
