• Because it's time to gouge your eyes out.

Sometimes, goggles just isn't enough. Don't say I didn't warn you!

  • LOL, Frontpage 5.

They even managed to upload two pictures of 21 mega pixels. But we can see the entire 25 Mb website on one page and they're is no table; that's not so bad, huh?

  •  It's web 0.5 - let's see

    • Iframe - Check
    • Marquee - Check
    • Frontpage - Check
    • Table - Check
    • Inline styles - check
    • Script and Styles not in head - check

That's to name but a few

  • Nostalgia! The internet as it was ~15 years ago.

  • I just knew I would find this:

    <META content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0" name=GENERATOR>

Now, what the hell is that site about? Some right wing Australian political party? I fell dirty!

  •  Needs more automatically-playing music, little guys with a shovel gifs, sparkle-trailed mouse cursors, /cgi/ in the URI and way, way, way more HTML-resized pics (the few there are in there now, are by far not enough)

Isn't script not in head Web 2.0 as well? Doug Crockford recommends
<script src=filename.js> tags should be placed as late in the body as possible.

Yes. One that emphasises the grass-roots, little-guy, struggler stereotype.
And so a web page that looks like someone's uncle Bob knocked it up in the garage one afternoon in 1993 may be part of a very carefully crafted image strategy...

  • One Nation is a fairly far right nationalistic political party, with strong views on (anti)immigration. They attracted quite a bit of attention about a decade ago, but became the laughing stock of the Australia (in part due to the ignorant and uninformed leader) and have vanished into obscurity.

  • I didn't even notice the two 10MB photos. Good thing I didn't load this up on my phone... looking at crappy political part websites is quite possibly the stupidest way to burn through a data cap.

    Don't forget blinking text.

I actually saw that used in a "web 2.0" application properly. The app had a sort of initialization cycle and it used blinking text to indicate which item on the list it was processing at that moment. Looked pretty neat actually.

She is a very caring potato. (That song was banned here!) Bugger, they chopped that phrase from the linked video.

Ah, but did they use the blink tag/style, or did they just use a timer and javascript to toggle visible?
