I made Christmas cookies!

I'm guessing it's a clbuttic mistake.
-
I don't know what worries me the most... that they mis-titled it, or that people need an electric cookie press.
-
I love this, because it's actually plausible. I mean, put a different nozzle, and use cookie dough instead of caulk. It sounds like a Jeff Foxworthy joke.
-
I just checked and the OP's picture IS of the cookie press. The B&D caulk gun looks somewhat different http://www.bestcovery.com/black-decker-cg100-2-speed-powered-caulk-gun.
-
I don't own an electric cookie press because I don't particularly care for electric cookies.
-
Sweet Jesus! Leading a horse to water and then making him drink just got a whole lot easier!
-
I was going to make a joke about going off half-caulked, but it was only half-baked.
-
Well, I would never put my caulk in an electric press, but whatever floats your boat...

Surely it's obvious. The title error is a boring bog-standard error; the hand-operated* electric cookie press is a mind-blowingly pointless invention.- In industrial biscuit production electric presses do have an obvious raison d'être.

I'm really tempted to see if there are any published studies about why such errors occur so often.
I mean, is this a data entry error? An off-by-one error? A fundamental error in which people don't know how to formulate instructions (e.g., the old grade-school exercise where you ask people to write down direction of how to make a sandwich, then have them follow someone else's directions exactly)?
WHY? WHY MISTER ANDERSON? WHY DOES IT PERSIST?

EDIT: ALTERNATE PUNCHLINE
I spent 6 months researching and writing that study. Look in Lexus Nexus under "DangerFyre 3: Dragons Rising".

"These cookies taste terrible! Is this supposed to be maple icing or something?"
"No, I made those with my new cookie press. This flavor is "Liquid Nails"

Spritz Cookies are awesome.
