The most accurate weather forecast ever

  • BINNED

Apparently it can fetch accurate forecast for more than 2 years in the future. Then again, it might just be confused by the concept of time.

  • Discourse touched me in a no-no place

Or its simply (roughly) 2 years and 7 months out of date - this does appear to be a Windows OS judging by the stuff at the top left.

Nope, this shows the time since weather forecast has last been updated. And yes, it's Windows Mobile 6.5 and is up to date, most likely as up to date as it will ever get.

  • 2 years into the future?

No, it displays the forecast as of approx. two years ago.

    My thoughts exactly.

Isn't TRWTF that it does not show the date the forecast is for?

Nah, TRWTF is obviously Windows Mobile.

Ok, ok, I didn't think it would confuse people THAT much. Though yeah, dates would certainly help.

It shows forecast for the next 5 days (well, 3 in this case because I didn't update it for 2 days given that I don't have a data plan on that phone, I only connect to internet through WiFi). If you don't update it for 5 days it shows nothing. Which leads us to conclusion that it somehow managed to download more than 2 and a half years worth of forecast information which is still fairly accurate, if you are to believe the 'last updated' number that is.

  •  Well, it does make a point for becoming a weatherman. Create 2 years of predictions and go on a sabatical.

What does the operating system have to do with the problem? Or are your built-in Linux biases interferring with your judgement?

  • That's just typical Balkan weather: supernaturally miserable, and yet also strangely predictable.

Haven't seen a Windows Mobile 6 for years. Why not get with the times and go for a Windows Mango Phone?

Indeed, they're very nice... a lot nicer than the old 6.x ones. I'm considering getting a Windows Phone when my contract expires (not that Android is bad, it's just that at the moment Telstra doesn't have any Android phones that really imrpess me).

The Mother has a HTC Mozart and she quite enjoys it, especially for the games.

Is it sad that my mother has an Xbox Live account that she uses and I don't?

    the time is now, apparently.

Wow.  Even a stopped Windows Mango Phone gives the right time zero divided by zero times a day.

You're both wrong.  TRWTF is Zagreb.

Good catch but I quickly checked on my Windows Phone 7 Mango Phone and it appears "Now" is just the name of the summary page

Even when it's a year off?
