You know how Google's translator works right? It works solely based on probability / frequency analysis. This page it most likely in Italian. And I agree. Cassandra sounds pretty Italianese.
Edit: Congratz to your 300th post.

So, what did it translate to?
-
Yes, do tell!
And how did that get in there? Paste of the wrong stuff?
-
And just what kind of business-related translation software has a button labeled "Nope"?

For that matter, what kind of forum software tells you there was an error posting your message and then tricks you into posting it three times?

As the OP tag hints, it's Chrome that's offering to translate.
It does that when (e.g.) Google returns search results in a language other than the one it thinks you use.

This page is not in Italian. It may contain words indicative of the Italian language, but it's not Italian.

With all due respect, how could you NOT have clicked "Translate" regardless of if it appeared to be Italian or not? Hmm, maybe I'll have install Chrome again and feed it some filenames and see if I can replicate this behavior.
On second though, no. Chrome's UI reminds me too much of GNOME. Rip out all the useful bits and tell users "Well, you know, you didn't need those anyway. They were just confusing everyone."

It is actually greek, Κασσάνδρα
Fun trick: go to translate.google.com and enter "cassandra var lib". It will offer you to translate from Italian. If you put cassandra alone, it will offer to translate from English. var lib alone = Spanish, cassandra var = French etc. Try other combinations and changing the order of words. It's fun.

So far it thinks that "cassandra var lib" was Icelandic for "Cassandra was lib".
Also the "detect language" mode seems to think that I'd usually be wanting to translate Chinese with it, and therefore putting the text box in RTL order.

Google also can't tell the difference between Japanese and Korean:
(The spam was already in English. Nothing was actually changed from the original page.)

Yeah! Nevermind it's a totally different character set! I'd sort of understand it if it mistook Chinese for Japanese, but this is more like confusing Greek and Russian.
