Failing Hard at Javascript
-
I was browsing through cracked.com when I saw something about Metallica for babies. I had to see it to believe it so I clicked the link.
I don't know what hurts more... Seeing that, or the fact that they have really lullaby'ied Unforgiven. And Fade to Black. And Battery.

I think it's called "failing hard at HTTP" since they've not only sent the wrong Content-Type header, but they've also maintained a frustrating ignorance that JavaScript-based redirects screw up the Back button in the browser.
Use HTTP headers, for great justice.

Can't hear those covers right now, but I can't imagine the lyrical content in any of those songs is lullabye material except maybe Nothing Else Matters. Wait, Pulling Teeth? Wasn't that a bass solo on Kill 'Em All?

JavaScript-based redirect works just fine if the developer is clueful enough to use location.replace instead of location.href.

These lullaby covers are instrumental and can be quite soothing in a "send you mad after 6 songs" kind of way.

Enter Sandman is already a lullaby... kindof.

Nothing Else Matters
I snuck that song onto the CD they played during my wedding. Yes, in an actual church, and it was played when we were signing the register. So quite an important song for me.

Bearing in mind that the canonical example of a lullabye in English is probably "Rock-a-bye baby", which talks about a baby falling from the top of a tree...

Rock-a-bye-baby is a brutal song, man... Now I'm gonna go listen to some old dying fetus records and cry tears of metal...Bearing in mind that the canonical example of a lullabye in English is probably "Rock-a-bye baby", which talks about a baby falling from the top of a tree...

Works really well if you start all the sample players going at once...
