Accuracy is important for search engines

  • It's either me or because it's Friday, but I don't get the WTF...

  • Look at the website picture in the link, and then check the info box beside it.

  • It took me while when I first clicked on it.  Enough to make me check your posts to see if you were a spambot.  Maybe include some description next time?

  •  Calgary has been expanding an awful lot lately.

Hm. I read the thread, and I'm still going with spambot

Yes, TRWTF seems to be MasterSeek, which is horribly slow, in addition to wrong. I went to their home page and clicked on the Sony link:

Sony, the premier provider of networked consumer electronics and entertainment, is becoming increasingly efficient, agile and innovative – although it still faces steep competition from Samsung. Obvious WTFs highlighted for your pleasure. I wonder what "Ret misc" merchandise is. Retail miscellaneous?

Hmmm.....looks like the idea is you register your company, and then maintain your own profile or whatever. So maybe TRWTF is the classics plus guys.

  • 🚽 Regular

Actually, the title of the page is its own WTF, too.

This is kind of like one of those "What's Wrong" covers for Highlights for Children! Oh, man, that takes me back.

  • It's even worse than that. Apparently, according to the box at bottom right of that page: "Your broswer doesn't support frames." [sic] Obviously I need a better broswer than the one I use right now.

I think TRWTF is search engines other than Google and Bing.  Anyone who still thinks a search engine is a good investment is better off putting their money in a hole and peeing on it.

Even after the success of Cuil? You're crazy!

You're doing it... HOLY SHIT WAT?

Now that's disturbing. Anyway what I was going to say: You're doing it wrong. The Ajaxy search-as-you-type does give you results for two-letter companies. All you have to do is not hitting "seek". Duh.
