The proper way to sell on Ebay

  •  This is the proper way to sell an item on Ebay

  • Some years ago someone was selling a kettle... The guy who took a picture of the kettle didn't notice, but he was reflected in the kettle's surface. And he was naked when he took the picture. Some people did notice and started a movement where you'd sell items that have yourself naked subtly reflected in them.

I detect some asymmetry that's making this even more distracting... like, is one bigger than the other, or is it just the pose and the angle that's making it seem that way?

Very few people exhibit perfect bilateral symmetry on the outside.  My own right nostril is noticeably higher than the left (perhaps due to the "packing" treatment I got for frequent nosebleeds in my teens), and the fingers of my left hand spread to a wider reach than my right (possibly from stretching during my guitar-playing days).

(Internally, nobody is symmetrical.  Heart over here, liver over there, intestines that have to choose whether to coil to the left or the right...it's a madhouse in there.  Made all the worse that it's all in total darkness.)

I understand that. This just seems especially asymmetic.

At first I thought it just might be a combination of camera angle / standing weird.  But here's another auction by the same person using a similar picture.  It does seem especially asymmetic.

I will study the picture longer in an attempt to work it out.

To his bride said the lynx-eyed detective:
"Could it be that my eyesight's defective?
Has your east tit the least bit
The best of your west tit,
Or is it a trick of perspective?"

Careful.   Don't get any on your keyboard.

  • I just like the way the page for a closed auction says "More chances to get what you want", and then shows another three similar images from the same seller.
