[CLOSED: NOTADISCOBUG] Google Docs onebox failure
-
Continuing the discussion from Status badgers for everyone:
Status:
Refused to display 'https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WjnLeJ4VVETsRqtcdabe5fc-kcyqbQNRT8c960FN4A4/pub?embedded=true' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'.
Instead of a Google Docs onebox, I got a ton of empty whitespace
-
I'm not the only one then
-
-
But it works now...
Maybe an issue with posts being streamed?
-
I loaded it fresh first time round though; no streaming involved…
-
Hmm.
Do you see this?
-
Yep
-
Hmm.
Ok...
If anyone else can't see it, please post with what you did to get in this topic...
I'll @mention some random people to see if it works for them...
-
I see it, but I came into the topic following the notification.
-
me? random?
BWA HA HA HA HA!
nope it shows fine for me. no complaint from chrome.
-
Hmm, looks like we have a
<jeff>
Temporal bug</jeff>
hereEDIT: No, this is actually not a Discourse bug.
-
What actually happened is that "published" is a separate toggle from "shared with everyone and published on a webpage". I had set the latter, but the former wasn't set, and Discourse decided that because the document was shared, it should embed the published version instead of checking if that was actually a thing. And then I changed it from "shared with everyone and published on a webpage" to "shared with everyone and published on a webpage and published" and somehow it updated in
@RaceProUK
's browser without a refresh. Discomagic.
I was in a different thread when you flipped the flag; I returned later following a notification
