Going round in circles

  • I'm waiting for a parcel that should arrive today, and got emailed a tracking link this morning, so my first usual thing to do is click the link to make sure it's on the delivery van, which it is..... but it got to the delivery van in a rather long winded manner:

  • Discourse touched me in a no-no place

May I suggest you find another image hoster - that one appears to change the URL, invalidating any hotlinks you try to use them for.

Stoopid free image hosting.... Knew I should've stuck with Imageshack!!

  • What's always fun with nonsense such as this is to imagine the delivery centres rising from the earth and playing Volleyball with your packages. Ok, maybe not fun if you've got HDDs or a LCD in there or... damnit I was going somewhere with this.

  • What is the problem? It got shipped, was taken to the sorter. It got sorted, and just so happened to go back to the place it pretty much started.

The people who pick the packages up don't have time to look at the packages to figure out where they go. Thats the sorters job.

I actually have about 6 HDs in that parcel for a server :-)

Parcel arrived about 20 mins ago, all in one piece (surprisingly!)

    You mean one pieces, surely?

Hub and spoke? Feh! FAR too efficient! What they should do is have each driver look at each package and personally deliver it to the destination before picking up the next package. They'd have to hire 50,000 more drivers, but their tracking system wouldn't show something that KITT from Knight Rider there thinks is a WTF.

    Apropos of nothing.
