Recruiter fail

Got this email today; I'm including the link (nothing wrong with it; seems to be legit, no malware or spam) but it's probably a 2-3 man firm someplace that hired a high school kid to write the website. It's a job hunting firm.
The WTFs are: 1) I'm not Christopher. If they're going to grab my email address from Monster/Dice/Careerbuilder, at least they could also grab my real name. 2) their (cough) PHP script substitution needs some substitution. 3) There are only a few of those $75K - 500K jobs left, get one before they're all gone!

But did they get the Minnesota bit right?

No, the job in question was in Andover, Hampshire (UK). Am I right?

And what exactly makes you think that %industry% smells like PHP? Far as I know, PHP has %s for sprintf, or <?=$industry?> as a more template-looking shortcut for the horrid <?php ?> construct. Most PHP "template engines" I've seen use either {industry} or {$industry}.

A %variable% smells like Windows cmd.exe.
Also, FTFY.
Also also, +1 on curly braces for PHP.

As if by magic, today's Stob article over on El Reg has this description of PHP:@derula said:

Pull my finger!Filed under: it smells like php

%variable% is a pretty common format from what I've seen. The Unix world tends to use $variable or $(variable), but %variable%, {variable} and {$variable} are all common in hacked-together "template engines".
