Riking made a Go script that does something there's already a thick client for

I made a script because it was useful. Decided to release it.
You give it a Google Docs file ID and a local filename, and it will download the document to your computer each time you run it.
Built binaries:
You'll need to create a Google OAuth app to use it, unless someone feels sharing and will give you the info for theirs. https://console.developers.google.com//start/api?id=drive&credential=client_key

Hmmmmm, how is this different than Google Drive?

Or just look at the repo history? ;)
-
Oh yeah, there's a desktop application isn't there...
I guess this is useful from the command line, though.
My use-case is that I'm collaborating in class with a few other people on a MIPS assembly file, and I need a way to get the asm file onto my computer to run it.
Or just look at the repo history?
Nah, I cycled the secret.

Very likely, I was just having trouble with how I might use it.
Of course...can you add anonymously shared files to your Drive? It would be useful for files that might be changed that you are unable to add to Drive. Or, if you are creating a WTFery application that needs to reference files on Google Drive?

Nope, just collaborating with some people on a school project, so Drive is the source of truth.
Just added modtime checking
Just noticed that the MIME type selection isn't actually in the release version, so that's two features missing (it'll always use
text/plain
because that's what I needed)

I love how you edited your own title to be self-deprecating.
