Vending machine WTF

  • The vending machines here accept credit cards. I accidentally swiped my card with the magstrip facing the wrong way... and this is what happened:

  • Judging by the second symbol,  I think you calculated pi.

  • A vending machine that sells pies?

  • ... vending machines in Kent, WA accept credit cards? Huh.

Nope. Vending machines in Amazon's office buildings in Seattle, WA accept credit cards ;)

Do you guys get ORCA cards? I'm thinking of switching employment just to get my damned transit benefits back... the Frenchies are really pissing me off with their retarded transit system.

Yes, we do get free ORCA cards.

I wonder if it is possible to read out that data as binary, reverse it, and get your card number...

Wow. So, Amazon not only DON'T give you free vending machines (that's really cheap of them IMO), they don't even accept cash?!! What the heck is IN those machines? Kindle readers?

Where did he say they don't also accept cash? All he said was they accept credit cards.

That being said, I would never trust a machine that would so greedily eat paper currency. It's only a matter of time before they get a taste for plastic. Once that happens, the robot revolt has begun and the humans will be forced into slavery.

The entire Amazon catalogue. You can buy anything from their vending machines - it's their answer to the self-service checkouts at Argos.

  • Clearly the problem was you swiped the card to quickly... just look at the motion blur on most of the letters.

The sell all the eBooks they pulled off of the Kindle store!

No, seriously, judging by the colors, that would be a Coca-Cola machine.

  •  Clearly you have discovered one of those covert message delivery systems, that aliens use to receive their instructions.

  •  It turns out that swiping a card the wrong turned on the hidden roulette mode.  Press End to increase your bet, press a drink button to select the drink you think will win, then swipe your card forward to start the "wheel" spinning!

I blame Robert Aspirin's Phule's Company for this idea.

Some of 'em are moving really fast.

Just look at that 6 go!

That's brilliant logic there, Cad. "Accept credit card" == "doesn't accept cash."

I hope you're not in a profession that requires a lot of logic. Like, say, programming computers or something.

    You mean vending machines here

On an apple iphone at rotated 90 degrees clockwise without a flash accept credit cards?

It is indeed a Coca-cola machine.

  • Seeing that display just fills me with confidence!

Surely a taste for plastic will lead to nothing worse than them eating celebrities?

Or just their faces and breasts?

Politicians and salespeople may also be at risk.

They usually have two faces anyway.
