Home DSL to VPN
-
Has anyone know if there are DSL routers which can be used to connect to a VPN? I want to work from home and I need my devices to be able to connect to a VPN. No problem with computers but SmartTVs and media devices are impossible. So I was wondering if there are DSL routers which can act as a gateway to this VPN.
Also, if any one know of any other way (using an AP?) I accept suggestions that would save me from buying a new router (I have the one provided by my ISP which is a POS).

save me from buying a new router
Route everything through a computer that can handle vpns ?
Also: why the fuck would you want to route media devices to your work network?

I develop applications for SmartTV, XBox and many clients geo-lock their content and only my office network is white listed in their systems.

That does make an unfortunate amount of sense. You could also buy an old soekris box (technically not only a router) and use that for the vpn.

IIRC ddwrt and tomato both sport connecting via VPN.
so if you have (or by one. They can be very cheap) a router that supported by ddwrt or tomato then you will be golden.

Not right now but I can browse online. The only spare I have right now is an atom mini-PC.

In theory, you could use something like ARP poisoning to redirect the traffic to a Linux system, then send it via the VPN. No idea how to actually do that though.
Edit: I don't know if it works with WiFi though.

here's probably the cheapest and best supported DD-wrt router.
it's the original actually. the WRT54G
$30, not bad.
