Amazon Variable Pricing

  • I've had 'Catch 22' in my 'Saved for later' shopping list at amazon for ages, and when I opened the shopping basket today I was greeted with the following message:

Please note that the price of Catch-22 has increased from £0.01 to £99,999.00 since you placed it in your Shopping Basket. Items in your basket will always reflect the most recent price displayed on their product detail pages.

Going to the book page itself, they're selling three seemingly identical copies at slightly different prices:

    catch 22 wtf

I'm not sure which one to choose, I mean it's seven orders of magnitude difference between them, but that's got to be a pretty special copy, right ...? Or, maybe they make a bigger donation to charity than with the other two. I mean, if it's a percentage of the price then that's either very generous or less than a penny!

  •  Well, Mr. Kennedy, sounds like you're in a Catch-22 situation, there.

  • Considered Harmful

It's an incredible book; read it now.

  •  Aye, it's an awesome book.
