Domain Config Failure
-
While evaluating an offer for a website, a coworker spotted this little "misconfiguration"of their servers.
http://sierre.ch/ goes to what looks to be the lotus notes server help or something like that.
posting a picture in case they correct it:
http://www.sierre.ch/ displays the right website.
Well apparently their sysadmin neither followed the mandatory training about sercurity nor the one about webserver config.

Rumour has it that's what happened to the original Lotus Notes developers.

No, no, no. They were executed by guillotine after being caught performing the satanic rituals required to use Lotus Notes.

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the discussion about what to use as a web server. "IIS? Nah, too easy to configure. Apache? Nah, performs too well... let's use Domino. And just to be sure, make sure it's Domino 6.5, two versions out of date."

Speaking of domain config failure, www.intel.com has been broken in Internet Explorer with (at least) Slovenian language settings for the past few days - it keeps redirecting back to itself, so after a few seconds you end up with URL that looks like this: http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/?http://www.intel.com/???????????? . Only affects IE - Opera and Firefox are fine (and redirect you to http://www.intel.com/?en_UK_15 , which if you copy to IE works as well).

Either somebody from Intel is reading this topic, or they noticed that I left IE open until the URL became this, since the page seems to be fixed now :)
