Well, I mean it's less intrusive than Hololens...

I strongly suggest against using PCP to treat medical conditions.

Could be worse; at least it's not PHP.

The idea that you excuse 1-(1-phenylcyclohexyl)piperidine because you think that PHP is worse is ... worrying. (That said, before it was a recreational drug, it was used briefly as an anaesthetic.)

Ugh. I had a chat client for my PSP. Typing was a bitch...

It is worse. In fact, I'm of the opinion that all professional PHP devs probably use PCP to stay sane (or just go insane).

That could at least be used as a stretcher:

I did not excuse it. The statement that A is worse than B does not in any way imply B is good.

@el_heffe So there's an "offsite assistant" who just sits there watching doctor-patient conversations in real time and writing down the details?
Also, couldn't a normal fixed camera somewhere in the room do the exact same thing?
-
So the doctor will be wearing glasses as they are interacting with you, and somewhere in the backend, some secretary will be taking notes.
Is this a standard practice? Couldn't they just use a (hidden?) camera? Or for that matter, couldn't the doctor just use a dictaphone and have it transcribed later? Is there a benefit to having doctor's POV video? Why not just a living assistant sitting in the room and taking notes? Is this job outsourced?
Could they hire a cheap american actor to wear robes and have a cheap Indian doctor speak into his ear?
So many questions. Fascinating.

Their Glassdoor comments suggest they just have rooms of minimum wage people that transcribe. I'm sure anything really juicy would never end up on social media...
Edit: In the UK they've now 'improved' the way you book an appointment with your doctor. This resulted in the receptionist asking why I wanted to see the doctor the last time I tried, I had to try very hard to keep polite while making 'get stuffed' very clear.

For at least 10 years I've had receptionists ask something along the lines of "what's the reason for your appointment or is it private?"
Even when I do tell them, I get the impression the doctors either aren't passed the information or don't listen. My wife recently had a pregnancy related consultant appointment where all she knew was that she'd been sent a letter saying she had an appointment. The first thing the consultant said? "Why are you here today?"

That's what mine does. I hardly notice them.
and somewhere in the backend, some secretary will be taking notes.
Since no mention of anyone else seeing has been made, I'm pretty sure our HIPAA laws would have a cow over that.

This forum probably has a better record of me than "my" doctor...

And that's a good thing, since he would probably put you in an asylum

You may be dangerous to yourself. Or to us.
Or both.
But don't listen to me, I'm crazy

You'll have to go through her mother first. I'm hedging my bets she won't take kindly to that kind of action on a child.
