Can't wait for customers who send people 100x100 logos to be displayed on 30 foot billboards to point designers to this site.

We're getting ever closer to Blade Runner here…

huh.... i wonder how its performance compares to http://waifu2x.udp.jp/

@accalia Using my $100% scientific testing process of trying one photo found on Google images, I've found the following:
- waifu2x's photo mode makes it look like it was taken on a shitty digital camera I had 10 years ago
- Lets Enhance's "magic" setting blows it up quite a bit and doesn't look as shit

Photomode blows for waifu2x.
Because that's not what it was created for. :-D
There's a different type of image i'm interested in how it works.

We're getting ever closer to
Blade RunnerCSI: Miami here…FTFY. Because of course you can enhance a picture of a murder scene below the level of individual photons, donchanau.
Mind you, the scene in BR is pretty absurd too, but that was a one-shot thing at a time when most people had never used a computer. Just being able to view a picture in a computer was gee-whiz for most people in 1982.
-
@scholrlea That reminded me of these two tall images:

@hungrier Ah, created by a student of Scott McCloud, I see.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InfiniteCanvas
TBF, McCloud has had a lot of important insights into comics and especially webcomics. But the whole 'infinite canvas' thing has mostly been a miss, even if a handful of comics in the style (e.g., Delta Thrives, Nine Planets Without Intelligent Life, several one shots in XKCD and Narbonic) are genuinely great. It's a great idea, and a nice tool for a cartoonist to have in their bag, but it is really, really hard to do it in a way that readers find palatable, so most artists just don't want to go to that much effort for something that could still flop.

@onyx Wow that reminds you of how lifeless and humorless that special was doesn't it.
Imagine if that scene, as written, was acted by actors who gave even half a shit.

Your photos uploaded
We've started processing. It takes some time, meanwhile you need to create account to access your results.I get they want people to register so you can spam them with newsletters, but surely it would be better for them to tell me this before I wasted their CPU time. Think of all the polar bears that are going to melt because of the extra carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere...

Yeah, it was shit, but I felt that it fit in here.

Pretty sure Enemy of the State was before CSI
