MFC has a method called CSliderCtrl::SetBuddy(). I know this is probably a perfectly logical choice (and I prefer this to something like SetAssociatedControl() ), but I just can't help but laugh.
It probably relates to that "My Buddy" doll that was so popular among lonesome tots (back before kids got all weird ;) Yeah, "My Buddy" was weird... but not even in the same ballpark with that "feel the sicness" dude or that clown with the pro-Furry propaganda in his signature.
Another one that makes me chuckle is "mime sniffing." This is somewhere in the registry... search for "SNIFFING." Again, I guess it makes sense as a name, but "ew." Wouldn't mimes smell a bit... um... continental??
