Ludacris Bank Loan Rules
-
A loan over $420,000 is considered non-conforming, which means that special rules apply:
- Applicant must have at least 3 hit songs
- At least 1 of these must have been used in a movie
- At least 1 of these must have 'bitch' in the title
-
@el_heffe 21 hours and no replies? This is witty as hell. Come on forum, do better.
-
- applicant must demonstrate ability to drive fast and/or furiously
-
If you get a mortgage on a house, does it matter if you've got hoes in different area codes?
-
Bitches gotta move out the way.

In all fairness, the original post that this is based on was posted in The Lounge, so many people may not have seen it and not get the reference.

He's more than exhausted my knowledge of Ludacris with his post.

You evidently know more than I do. I know he was in that one Justin Bieber song, and I've never heard of him since.

We just know different things. I didn't know those two had collaborated. The only song I've heard that I can positively identify with Ludacris is the "Move bitch, get out the way" song. Because that's hilarious.

Speaking as a Manhattanite, they make loans of UNDER $420K (for mortgage purposes) ????? :)

Living in the Bay Area, I concur. Well, now. My original loan was 310K. But that was 20 years ago.

Mine was only $208K, but that was 23 years ago, on a smallish house that was already ~40 years old. When we sold it in 2010, near the bottom of the crash, we priced it cheap to sell it really fast (before the bank could foreclose it out from under us; it was already scheduled for auction). $450K. (No, we didn't make $242K. By that time, we also had a $200K equity loan; by the time all the taxes, fees, broker commissions, etc., were paid, and the proceeds split between my ex-wife and I, I got about $3K.)

Equivalent houses in my area are now north of 1.25M.

@dcon I haven't looked at what similar houses it that neighborhood are selling for, because I can't afford to even dream of buying a house, but rents are in the vicinity of $3500/month.
Hmm, I wonder... Zillow is showing me prices mostly in the $800K – $900K range. That's about what I would have guessed.
What!?! There are a couple under $300K! Oh, they're mobile homes.
-
I bought this house in 2002 at $180k. Zillow now estimates it at $330k.
Is there any urban area on Earth that builds housing at the same rate its population grows, so that housing prices track inflation closely? I doubt it.
-
Which reminds me of the bank I had. Bank approved of my request for loan, but then denied it because I was buying a house rather than a flat, and went "What if the house would need emergency repairs in the next year?" I did an eyeroll, and so did the real estate agent.
