Can someone crowdfund this, please?

Trying to get my daughter to have vitamins. All of the chewable vitamins have a variety of fruit flavors. Of course, she only likes one flavor.
Can I have one that is all strawberry please?
What else do you want?
-
If she eats strawberries, why does she need more vitamins?

Unfortunately, I didn't say she eats strawberries. They have seeds "eewww".
Also, while strawberries are good with some vitamins they lack others like vitamin D and since I generally slather her with sunscreen...she needs D.
-
@karla ok
:-D

A good source of vitamin D is Caviar

@timebandit I was gonna say cheese...

vitamin D
Fish oil. Tastes awful, but is absolutely packed with vitamin D. You can probably get it in gel capsules that basically don't taste of anything, and they're a lot better than the alternative. Provided she doesn't chew on them; that's hopefully a once-in-a-lifetime experience for her. ;)
I can also remember some sort of chewable thing with it in as a child, but that was orange-flavoured. No idea what's out there now.
Of course, you're much further south than I am and in a much sunnier part of the world (almost everywhere is sunnier than here) so her need is probably a lot less acute.

Hope the return clerk ain't on the uptake

Our water isn't fluoridated. That means our vitamin supplements are by prescription.

Reminds me of the 7yo Thai friend of my son's who came to the kitchen these days to tell me "I wan eat seed". I almost told her the same. Took me a while to realize she wanted a cheese sandwich—ending a syllable in "s" is just impossible.

Knowing @karla, you'll get judo-chop'ed for that. Get in the queue.
(does that balance out?)

@karla - vitameatavegamin in a strawberry jelly... :)

Currently, bribing with stickers is working.

@karla Why not just do some science.
This kid don't feed vitamins. Next kid, feed vitamins. See which one turns out better.
I'm telling you the vitamins don't do shit, assuming you don't do something insane in your household like eat McDonalds 15 times a week. Normal humans with normal human diets grew up healthy and strong for centuries before vitamin theory was created. (Which isn't to say vitamins are completely unnecessary-- if you have an actual deficiency, sure, take them. But also: if you eat healthy you won't have an actual deficiency so stop worrying.)
Or in one sentence: vitamins are overrated.

@karla Give the other one kicks in the butt on an hourly basis. Do all the science.

Use judo chops instead to save time?

@karla Maybe vary it up with a judo qick.

I used to love those. Little M&M shaped pills, with a strong citrus flavor.

@masonwheeler Supplements with fluoride require a prescription.
-
@greybeard OK, that makes sense.

Buy vitamin d pills. Grind them up and put them in something strawberry flavored.
Or feed Kid #1 vitamin D and strawberries, then feed Kid #1 to Kid #2. Or at least set up a human centipede thing.

Of course, you're much further south than I am and in a much sunnier part of the world (almost everywhere is sunnier than here) so her need is probably a lot less acute.Living somewhere sunnier does not necessarily mean that you have a better chance of avoiding vitamin D deficiency. In fact, my physician runs vitamin D test every other year because people here in Arizona tend to stay indoors through much of the summer, and when we do go out, we slather on the sunscreen to help prevent skin cancer. I'm now on my second run of mega-dose vitamin D supplements in 5 years.
