Sousa? That's the guy who created Seinfeld, right?
Really? I think you're getting mixed up with the lady who created Star Trek.

Gee, I don't know. I can think of lots of situations where it wouldn't be rude
Oh, wait. No I can't

I can’t think of any situation in which it would be important to even know, unless maybe you’re one of the two people directly involved.

@gurth fishing for an adoption?

The grandparents-to-be tend to be a little interested in this information as well.

I’m interested in a lot of things that are actually completely unimportant for me to actually know — most of them are called hobbies in my case, and gossip in many other people’s.

VIDEO SKETCH PITCH IDEA.
Title: "Improving Your Interpersonal Skills"
Pitch: A series of 2-3 minute videos where a specific question (possibly edited for brevity) is read aloud in "the angry/demanding nerd voice" (like an angry Sheldon, angry Richard Stallman, etc), and various clips of the same (or another) actor doing facial expressions, gesticulation, and and light acting are edited together. One of the top answers (also edited for brevity) is read in a sincere, Bob Newheart voice, with similar acting.Funny.. or hate speech?

What's your toejam budget? Because you're going to go through a lot of that.
-
I should start really trolly answers. We could ruin the site in about 24 hours if people were onboard.
-
I think we finally have something approaching or even exceeding /r/incel levels of cringe.
In their defense, this stuff isn't really taught in school, and if your parents didn't take on the responsibility, you're at a huge disadvantage.

@lucas1 I was once on bicycle stackexchange site
I have rebuilt bicycles as a bit of a hobby and got some fuck tell me I was wrong when quoting Sheldon Brown's website ... for those that dunno this is the wikipedia of bicycles.

@onyx Nonsense. The universal answer to any of the questions I see on the site right now is "grunt loudly and pee yourself while maintaining eye contact the entire time".
You forgot copious burping right into their faces!
-
@coldandtired If they hold a knife or a gun, you better borrow them the fucking bicycle. Oh, and don't ask when they're going to return it to you.
-
Q: "How do I avoid being a rude-ass motherfucker?"
A: "Don't be a rude-ass motherfucker."

I thought this was a good comment until I saw that @blakeyrat posted it and then I did a double-take.
-
@wft I would add 'or if it's someone you want to see naked, and that potential outcome is worth more than your bike'.

Usually I try to remove the "Hot questions" part from any Stack Exchange I visit with a userscript, simply because I know I can't resist the temptation.
Today I happened to open some SE page using my other browser with this tasty clickbait:
Better remember to keep the couch clean.
-
Generally, the questions are of the form "how can I ask x to do y", to which my usual thought is "hey, x, could you do y?"
-
My interpersonal skills are a bit lacking in ways. I recently found a website where I can ask others for help in these areas. But I'm not sure how to ask these people for help, what should I do?
-
@jaloopa The academic ones are REALLY bad.
"Can I submit my thesis in English at a German university?"
Uh. Ask? Like why are you asking tens of thousands of people who don't know instead of the 4 people who do? Hint: they work at your university.

It's easier and faster to write a stackexchange question than making an appointment with an university professor

But it's more likely to be correct if the person you're asking works at the place you're submitting the thesis. Which is likely who StackExchange will tell you to ask anyway.

And it's easier and faster than writing a stack exchange question to sit on your ass and belch.
But you won't get your answer either way.
