@yamikuronue A bunch of s got into some posts.

Those are all posts that I posted and couldn't upvote myself. You need to tweak the query to exclude self posts when it finds the posts not upvoted by a user.

Hey, that sounds much better!

@pjh said in @ben_lubar's MongoDB !!SCIENCE!! thread:
Those missing 100,000 or less.
The thread only has ~67,000 posts... your list should basically contain all users, unless you're limiting it to users who posted in it (in which case you'd miss users who've liked but haven't posted).

I... I wrote a script.
@raceprouk said in @ben_lubar's MongoDB !!SCIENCE!! thread:
@pjh Is there a way to get likes into the DB without triggering a bajillionty twelve thousand and a billion notifications?
My script does that too. But only for my notifications.

And for some reason, posts with some absurdly high number of emoji bring the server to a screeching halt for an absurdly long time...

@anotherusername @julianlam Maybe this should be reported as a performance bug?

Who wants to volunteer to go post

Unlikely - there was no-one on the box during the last one I experienced and I logged onto to check.

Because 99.99% of the time (since the move to NodeBB), it causes no issues.

Permanently removing the Likes thread would be like seeing that the unit tests are all red and then deleting the unit tests.

You just don't like it because you're not allowed to delete your posts there.

which would be the appropriate action if the unit test is testing for something that doesn't make any sense

It'd probably be easier for you to just type
mongo 0
, unlesslocalhost
resolves to some unusual IP address.

Was first time from bash, didn't want to 'miss anything out' should it come to diagnosing any problems.

Then there's some disparity somewhere. No idea where though - I've still no real idea what the query I'm running is actually doing...

Not in the area of mongo at the moment - was looking at nodejs plugins, mocha and chai last time (dark o'clock this morning) I was doing anything related to any of this.

Fixed. Gave a few 25th likes in the process. I blame disco-loading for the misses.
