@julianlam - not sure NodeBB's entirely to blame, since try.nodebb.com doesn't even try to onebox - @ben_lubar, is this iFramely not parsing correctly, or NodeBB getting in the way by processing the underscores?

The first example seems to say that's the problem. I'd have to look, but plugins tell NodeBB their priority and I'd presume the markdown processing happens before iFramely.

This is not a NodeBB bug. NodeBB is following the CommonMark spec.
