I'm not sure if I'm seeing Engrish or just an unhandled error or what with this.
(after launching handbook.exe, the manual for the Sony Cybershot 230)

pstorer just sits and hits refresh over and over, looking for new posts to comment on. It's amazing it took him 10 seconds--he must have been on break.

Well I did say SONY, right? Not the finest software engineers on earth. It's probably some embedded PDF reader or something.

Usually the manual readers tend to be something like
if (adobe_installed()) run ("manual.pdf") else run ("adobe_install.exe")

This being Sony, you forgot the all-important first step:
install_rootkit();
