If my post is moved to a topic I don't have access, I get said topic's name revealed

In this example it's the "No talking in class..." topic, so it was pretty harmless. But if @pjh had moved it to somewhere I shouldn't know exists, nodebb would be revealing privileged information.

Technically you still don't know where that somewhere is. Only that the topic (and what it's called) is in one of the one or more somewheres that you can't access.
Logically, you could make a fairly good guess in this instance though.
The fact that it's appeared in your notifications list however....

Perhaps PJH has renamed the topic before moving it? In that case, no privileged information would be revealed.
Or was it a single rename/move operation ala posix ?

It's actually a fork.

Fork from this menu:
Brings up this:
Then move the new topic that's just been created.
The alternative is to move posts , post by individual post, to an existing topic.

... which explains, of course, why the notification happened - at the time the topic was created, it was accessible.

But then I just got another notification when @Yamikuronue moved it again somewhere.

Hmm...

@pjh Testing this further

Looks like reply notifications and mention notifications are suppressed, just not move notifications.
