If you don't have any comments to make, why not paste in the lyrics to Tenacious D's Fuck Her Gently?
-
@raceprouk Or fill up the space with

Optional. Also difficult to put in a text box, especially if they've not handled Unicode emoji right.

Edit: ignore that - seems it would actually fit 3, possibly 4, times over.
-
@pjh It's not that long a song
-
@raceprouk
The truly discerning form filler would use "The Song That Never Ends" as his/her compulsory field material.
-
"Please fix Validation Error"
And that's an oddly specific number of chars remaining for an empty field...
-
"Patience", huh? Seems like you could have applied that lesson on question five.
On the other hand, I would go with a script injection as my answer, so maybe I should learn some patience too.

@izzion Alternatively, http://www.cipsum.com/

Just enter an empty string. Duh.

@boomzilla field cannot be null.

@boomzilla
std::string validateMe;
-
@hungrier The problem is, most of these generators just print quotes, or chain words together. I think the cipsum one could actually be mined for corporate presentations!
-
@magus I think it would be fun to have an ipsum generator that mixed in different types. So you could have your corporate presentation about leveraging synergies and in the middle of the second paragraph you would strike down with furious anger, before getting back to your disruptive cloud solutions.
-
@hungrier Or just seed one from the Devolver conference.

This repeats every 37 paragraphs.
-
@djls45 I shudder to think why you would need 37 paragraphs of that. Or somebody noticing that it repeats, but not noticing that it's fake.
-
@coderpatsy I wonder about odd things sometimes. This time, I wanted to know if they actually randomly generated the text or if they just repeated a pre-written set of paragraphs.
-

I had to deal with that today. Defaulting to empty string is very different than requiring the parameter!

Use SciGen and copy out whatever seems relevant.

If anything, this age of youtube has thought me how to read/write/work on something else while listening to a slow-as-hell speaker/video in the background.
Even for fairly interesting tech talks, you can probably miss around 30% of the talk and still get the gist of it (and, you can always rewind for missed details).

"leberkas"
Whoever wrote this generator was too lazy to copy&paste an "ä" from somewhere.

I want this to go up to at least 5...
-
@pjh I totally forgot that this thing exists. Need to try it out again. Chipmunks ahoy!

Actually they preserve the pitch if you speed it up.
