I swear, no part of Scottish Power's website reliably works properly
-
Complaints procedure: what you can expect from us
- We always aim to respond promptly to your enquiry.
- bullshit, unless you count the auto response
- We will treat you with fairness and courtesy at all time
- yeah, OK, they haven't been rude to me just incompetent
- We will treat in confidence any personal or financial details you give us.
- I fucking hope so. Why is this something they need to explicitly say? Do they also promise not to send bags of dog shit to my address?
- We will try to resolve your enquiry the first time you contact us
- Yeah, they always try. Never succeed though
- We will clearly explain any action we intend to take to resolve your enquiry.
- bullshit. They have fobbed me off, lied, and promised things that have never happened but I haven't received any clear explanations of anything that's actually come to pass
- If we need more time to look into your query, we will keep you informed
about our progress, usually by telephone- bullshit. All contact has either been the first response to an email, or me chasing them
- If you are making a complaint we aim to resolve it as quickly as possible.
If we canβt resolve your complaint immediately, we will give you a unique
reference number and assign you a dedicated complaint handler- semi bullshit. On one of my many complaint calls I have been given a reference. At no point have I had a dedicated complaint handler
- If you are not satisfied with the way we handle your enquiry,
we will tell you about other steps you can take - bullshit.
Fuck utility companies.
- We always aim to respond promptly to your enquiry.

123 Fake Street if you don't need to actually verify a postcode

Head of state? Yes. Leader of country? No
exactly, same as our country, at least currently.

Shirley your postcodes have something equivalent to 12345
-
@hungrier I had to look it up. 12345 is an invalid postcode in Sweden, which should mean it's reserved as an example postcode. 12344 and 12346 are both valid postcodes going to streets in a Stockholm suburb by the looks of it, so it must be intentionally left out. TIL

@Atazhaia said in Optional? What's that?:
12345 is an invalid postcode in Sweden
But it's valid in the US, and lies in Schenectady, New York.
-
@RaceProUK I looked it up before making that post, and found an article about it.
TLDR millions of people "live" in this town of 60000
