So Steve is nothing but hot air and passing gas?
-
Some call them chemtrails.
-
-
What? No! I'm Steve.
-
@ben_lubar Eh, green-two-headed-dragon-Steve!
-
@ben_lubar are you sure you haven't confused Steve with Selbbub?
-
-
@ben_lubar Pretty sure this is Steve:

Downvoted for getting that stuck in my head.
-
@abarker My kids hate it when I (or my wife) sing it.
-
@boomzilla But does it help keep people off your lawn?
-
@antiquarian Not that I know of.
-
Since windows version numbers doesn't make much sense anymore, I hope the next version of Windows be called "Steve" too. This could be a thing in software.
-
Here, have a Steve!

Sometimes, I'm very glad I haven't been an American child. Polish kid shows are much much less earwormy.

I was just about to post a picture like that!
You like Minecraft too?
I used to play an awful lot of Minecraft a few years ago. Nowadays I have moved on to other poison (such as Cities Skylines) but I still like the concept of MC and all the possibilities it gives you.
-
@AlexMedia Space Engineers is rather cool.
-
-
@Zecc So...I touch your balls first?
-
In what universe does a dentist carry a stethoscope slung round his neck?
-
@Steve_The_Cynic when they give out sedation before dental work.

It was probably too hard to find a stock photograph of a disrobed patient with an actual dentist. It's generally bad for the dentist's reputation when that sort of photo gets out...

Yeah, that was my though, too. But still...

Maybe he just like to play things by ear.

Oh hai Steve.
Here's one of the results for "dentist" image search.

@Zecc I don't think her name is Steve though.

I wonder if any Stephanies have had people call them Steve for short.
It kinda makes me want to try...
-
@anotherusername fun fact, in a past life, I used to answer the phones in my old job.
My first name is Pete. The number of times I said 'WTF Corp, Pete speaking' and got people convinced my name was Steve... I blame crappy phone lines.
-
@Arantor you and repeat were on a boat ride. You fell in. Who was left?
-
@anotherusername Steve, obviously.
-
hardly difficult to figure out if you read the posts here and have a working brain
I must not have read all the lore because this is the first I've heard of it. Maybe I just missed it (or maybe my brain doesn't work)
-
@hungrier Arantor is a fairly unique handle... it is not hard to find, say, a social media presence that would match. Or a domain name. Or, for that matter, credits in a certain forum software.
-
@Arantor Maybe not hard to find, but it would take non-zero effort beyond reading posts here.
-
@hungrier I have commented, multiple times, about said forum software - including recently in a discussion where it was announced that SockDrawer had forked it ;)
The point being made is that while it is indeed non-zero effort, it's like the third entry on a Google search for the handle, right after a Wiktionary link for the word and my GitHub profile.
-
a Google search for the handle
This is not part of my typical forum reading workflow
-
@hungrier I realise this. It was more to try to pre-emptively stop a 'OMG YOU DOXXED YOURSELF' wagon by pointing out that it is trivial (if non-zero) effort to get details about me.
-
@Arantor that generally only happens if you make enemies. Or by posting on /b/, but I repeat myself.
