E-Pimpin'

It's a very, very good thing I have very loose ethics and even looser morals, because I just got a bugfix ticket for a custom e-commerce site I did under subcontract. The primary contractor actually filled in the content, I just provided the engine. However, upon seeing the actual production site....

    Well...

If I were to imagine a pimp's e-commerce site, this would TOTALLY be it. I've seen my stuff crowbarred into roles it was never intended to serve, but this is just elegant in how perfectly it works out. I think it's my favorite application of my code ever.

Sorry, no links for client confidentiality reasons... And yes, they're located in a place where this is at least quasi-legal. And yes, the bug is an IE6 bug. Ugh.

It took me several reads of what you wrote to get the point. Hopefully I cleared it up for others.

  • You created craigslist?

That's what 7AM does to my brain.

Still seems pretty damn clear compared to the way most english-speakers use the language.

You can't pay for it on craigslist.

  • If I were in your position I'd be ASHAMED of myself.

(Just kidding of course, I lost my sense of shame a loong time ago.)
