I am not a tech geek, I don't keep up with the latest and greatest 3g phones on the market. I know the iPhone has some great features, but that's about it. I recently heard of the new Palm Pre that is coming out so I decided to take a look (since I'm on Sprint and can't get anything else). What I found was possibly the worst web site that I, personally, have ever seen.
The site a complete cluster fuck of images. Not only did they decide on a completely stupid layout, they have made the page HUGE with no scroll bars. Instead, in order to navitate through the page you move your mouse close to the right or bottom of the browser and it will slowly scroll for you, at a snails pace. Lovely.
Just in case they decide to fix this pile of shit (which I doubt), here is a pic.

Your screenshot does nothing to describe the face melt that happens when the entire page is animated the way it is. The non-Flash version is much better; a blank page. *phew*

The numbers it's showing are BS, too. They're not even trying. I loaded the page, took note of a few of the ever-increasing numbers, then loaded it again. The numbers went back to where they were when they started the first time. At the very least the numbers should always be higher every time you load the page. This thing is just plain fail.

How come the Flash pane is fixed at 550x400 pixels, instead of expanding to fit the size of my browser window? We're not all browsing at 640x480 fullscreen anymore.

Oh dear god. It's as if they sent out a "request for website feature suggestions" email and accidentally CCed in the entire executive staff, and there then too terrified to reject any of the batshit insane suggestions.
I can't think of any other vaguely plausible suggestion outside of clinical insanity.

This switches the desktop - as if you had multiple monitors, but only one was actually visible at a time. Of course, I prefer to link in Alt+cursor to move between them - otherwise, one finds oneself limited by the number of keys on the keyboard.
That having been said, I find the performance improvements of tabs to be fairly useful as well - a tab takes less memory than a window. It also seems to me that tabs which are not visible use less CPU/GPU than windows which are 100% occluded or on a virtual desktop which is not being displayed.

It can also be combined with tabs (each tab contains multiple panes), so you can use whichever you prefer. Personally I don't like it for browsing, but it's nice for FTP.

TRWTF is that you use large icons and the bookmarks toolbar, even though you only have the default bookmarks. That's just pointlessly wasting space and it is ugly. Personally, I despise the web developer toolbar since it is huge, ugly as sin and all the functionality is available through the context menu and keyboard shortcuts. I suppose it's a matter of taste, but your taste sucks.

This isn't their website. It's a site to show off "all of the cool things you can do with a web enabled phone". It isn't meant to actually be used. It's there to show you what you're missing out on by not being connected. If you actually go to their website you will see it has a vastly different design.

Yeah, and the larger those vectors get, the slower they render, not to mention bitmap images (which they use) blur and slow down too. Having an expandable canvas means all the people who just blindly fullscreen their browsers are going to get really poor performance and wonder why. Expecting people to resize their browsers to make a flash cartoon playback smoother is silly. Why arn't you guys complaining about the fact that homestar still runs at 12fps?
In the animation industry we call it a deliverable spec. You pick a resolution, a frame rate, colour spec, video codec, compression level, pixel aspect ratio, etc. and you stick to that.

Last I checked, AdBlock isn't developed (much?) any more. AdBlock Plus is more modern, frequently updated, and the statusbar icon is smaller. =)
