(It might not be a true reboot, but more like a new side story or something. The second and third movie kinda sucked compared to the first one, so I'm not having high hopes either way.)

Reeves is not expected to be “the One” to lead the new film. The Wachowskis, who also directed all three films, are reportedly not involved in the reboot at this stage either.

I didn't exactly watch (for example) the Resident Evil movies for their grandiose dialogue. Lots of dwarfs getting chopped up and torn apart by demons from the underground doesn't sound so different.

QFT. They could have made it into a decent "part 1/part 2" film, but there's just not enough material for three, and in the third one it was painfully obvious that they had run out of steam.
