Fluffernutter? I barely knew her!

I must admit, I've never understood the appeal of the PB&J. Then again, I've never actually had one.
You poor child. That explains a lot.
It's never been a thing in the UK. The only reason anyone knows about it here is imported US TV.
Next you're going to tell me you've never had a Fluffernutter.
"Mother, may I have another Nutter Butter peanut butter sandwich cookie?"
I'm not sure whether I've had a Fluffernutter, but it sounds delectably delicious!

@dangeRuss and the robe and wizard hat thing is a famous IRC trolling that you can see here:
I know, that's why I said it. I was just confused about the extra z in wizzard.

Nut allergies are usually diagnosed very early, so everyone who has it should be aware of that.
I never met anyone allergic to nuts, but I turned allergic to chicken after 30 years (probably they just started putting penicillin based antibiotics on it, since I was already allergic to that, who knows)
How about organic chicken? Plus isn't it illegal to put antibiotics in poultry now?

It is probably illegal, but it's Brazil here, the law isn't respected as it should. Cheaper brands of milk were caught putting caustic soda and water in it, for example.

We're having a peanut allergy epidemic and nobody knows what's causing it.
This is just a wild stab int he dark, but I think the cause may be peanuts.
Yes, but why are more people all of a sudden allergic to peanuts?
There is a theory that early avoidance led to it, i.e. pediatricians recommending trying peanuts until much older.
Basically:
some kids allergic -> postpone peanuts for all kids -> more kids allergic -> postpone peanuts even more.
Repeat until everyone is allergic.
If requested I will attempt to find the related articles.
I was not overly cautious with allergens at all with my daughter because the only food allergy anyone in the immediate family is one of them who is lactose intolerant (and since that is the state of 75% of adult human world wide I wasn''t much worried about that).
She had egg yolk at 4.5 months, egg white and cheese around 7 months, almond juice, cow's milk, coconut juice around 11 months, and peanut butter around a year.
I don't think she has had any shellfish so can't vouch for that.

I never really liked them as a kid...but when I learned to grill them. That is yummy.

allergens
Early exposure is the name of the game now.
Molly's had peanuts, shellfish, the whole works. I was worried about brasil nuts, due to family history, but she's fine. I need to get some kiwi for her, since that's apparently another one.
The recommendation is to try it three times three days in a row, and do it when you have access to a hospital JUST IN CASE.
Honey is still on the no-no list, but that's due to possible botulism exposure rather than an allergen.

I haven't. Must be a regional thing.
I had fluffernutter as a kid; my husband has not. Great on crackers (Saltines).
I grew up in upstate NY; he grew up in NYC. Seems similar to the pop versus soda.

I should check that one too.
I think strawberries too...as I sorta recall I was allergic to "wild strawberries." That might not have been a real thing because I do not remember any specific incident.
I also remember something about being allergic to wasps but I don't remember ever being stung by one.
I do remember almost exactly the first time I was stung by a bee as it was during the Lake Placid Olympics and my dad had gone to watch hockey.

It's much more digestible than inorganic chicken.

It seems to be a thing amongst the toffs and cricket fans (two groups with a not insignificant overlap).

@Karla I'm allergic to bees, but not wasps. Allergies are a funny thing.
(not when they sting you on the neck and you risk choking to death, mind you)They[who?] say the best way to avoid bees and wasps is to snap your fingers to make them go away from the loud noise, rather than to try to kill them and risk retaliation.

I suggest the Nicholas Cage exposure therapy.

I had to watch The Rock last week. That's enough exposure to Nicholas Cage for a year.
-
@asdf I own exactly one Nic Cage film: Gone In 60 Seconds. And every time I watch it, my opinion of it drops slightly.
