Confusing notification box behavior
-
- Get a notification
- Click just above the notification, so that the mouse cursor turns into an arrow, but still inside the yellow box:
Expected: navigation to the post occurs and notification is cleared OR no navigation occurs and the notification stays uncleared
Actual: no navigation occurs, but the notification is cleared, as if the user clicked the "dismiss notification" circle-button-thing, except it also closes the notification menu.

@Maciejasjmj You're
holdingclicking it wrong !

Diagnosis
It looks like the handler for dismissing the notification is bound to the

element the notification is displayed in, not the
within it. This wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the 7px padding all around it:
This means you can dismiss a notification from any side, not just the top.

if it's possible to click it wrong then it's the designers/develpers fault not @Maciejasjmj's

@accalia
I'd say it's more True Neutral. The truth is neither Good nor Evil.

for that matter so can a Lawful Evil developer, but only if it suits their evil plans.
I am CG, and a developer.

And it is with this mentality that I justify all the game-breaking glitches I can exploit as "not actually cheating".

That one was actually my fault, since I changed the database from underneath it. Turns out, most programs shit themselves when a given-named column suddenly doesn't exist under that name anymore...

You mean, the database user !
