They took an entire season to escape. Pick something like Scooby Doo - they're always out in like 5 minutes with no-one being harmed.

Jack Bauer comes within 24 hours, screaming, "Dammit Chloe, we're running out of time!" before he waterboards my kidnappers who reveal to him where the nuclear bomb is. Meanwhile Nina Meyers comes back from the dead to tell him she was a triple-double-agent this whole time, and that Bauer's wife was alive this whole time and in a safe place until all threats to Jack's family's life were taken care of.
I roll my eyes at how stupid the plot twist is, while still saying, "I wonder what the next season will bring."

@Karla Leverage isn't a comedy. It does contain comedic elements, but it's more of an ensemble/heist show. Imagine The A-Team if the team were composed of Ocean's 11 con artists, and you'll have a basic idea.

Meh. I'm enjoying the reboot so far. Once you accept that it's an ensemble show now instead of a solo hero show, and take it for what it is, they've actually done a pretty good job on it.

This far in and nobody thought of just taking someone with superpowers? Hell, I'll just take "One Piece". The main cast could get me out in no time at all, especially because noone has haki or seastone in this world and therefore Luffy is literally invulnerable.
If I can just recruit anyone from the series, I'll take Kizaru(faster than light and literally invulnerable) for backup, Bon Curry (cause he can transform into anybody else and was an assasin) and Mr. 3 (because he can crack any lock and was an assasin) and I will be out in minutes.
Or take the Djin from Aladeen, there was a series of that at some point right? Dude is almost omnipotent, just snaps his fingers I am free.

Several years ago, I was talking with a younger (but still college-age) friend:
Woah. They're making a Get Smart movie with Steve Carrell!
What's Get Smart?
It was this hillarious TV show from the 60s that spoofed the superspy genre. The main character was a bumbling idiot who somehow managed to defeat the evil spies every time, despite all his best efforts.
OK...
It was incredibly successful and popular, to the point where they even based Inspector Gadget directly on the main character.
Who's Inspector Gadget?This is the first time I ever felt old. :(
