He's not in the NFL. He plays TE for the University of Michigan. He is expected to play in the NFL in the future though.

It's way way way over there, in the distance, and getting further away as we speak.
We'll never catch it.

I’m kind surprised that so far, nobody’s mentioned Kanye West’s daughter, North — and it’s still a better name than what the alternative choice would have been.

I wonder if the next generation is going to bring us North By North West.

@Maciejasjmj that'll be the clothing line "North" from when the kid is inducted into the family business aged maybe 7, with a fabulous modelling career.

Only to be ruined in a tragic accident with a hot curling iron across the face.

Many years ago, my grandparents had a friend whose surname was First. I'm not sure whether it was his legal name or just a nickname, but he was known to one and all as Safety First. His daughters were named May and June.

I needed to see an oral surgeon and was given a referral to a guy who was supposed to be really good. But I just couldn't go to Dr. Blood.

I went to high school with someone named August March. Contrary to rumor, he did not have four sisters named April, May, June and Julie.

"Enter your first name".
Oh, the laughs to be had.

Is she in an episode of Married … with Children?

Oh, and here’s one I saw on TV last night:

In school, when learning about Mormons and their polygamy traditions in RE class, we watched a video following a man with several wives. He was called Randy.
My name is also slightly unfortunate. For years I thought I had a relatively normal name, then when getting my first passport I got my birth certificate off my parents. My full, legal name, for 29 years and unbeknown to me, was J [my last name]. Apparently my parents thought that me being christened as my full name, that would be legal, and that the birth certificate just needed an initial.
When I got married, my name was [my full name], otherwise J [last name], which acts as an official change of name document because it's proper and has both names on it. My passport is still J though, which has saved me from paying for overweight baggage when the guy at the checkin desk was too engrossed in my name to actually check the weight of my suitcase
My brother is also called J, and is having similar problems to me when trying to change his bank account to a student account, because his official ID doesn't match the name on his account.

Wasn't Secundus a popular name in ancient Rome?

Not according to wikipedia, though there are a few Roman praenomina based on ordinal numbers (including Prima and Secunda, but not Primus or Secundus).

Okay then. Aren't the Japanese names Jiro and Taro an equivalent concept?

Yes. Only he lied when asked for it.
Google for "Hugh Mungus". Be sure to add "sjw" to your search term. Adding "rape" would - clearly - be redundant.

The clothes will be designed by a 7 year old using only a generic white t-shirt and no other materials to make a t-shirt from.

Only in combination with another name, usually of a daughter, IIRC. As in: if a family had two daughters, they’d both have the same name (the feminine version of the family name) but the elder would have Maior and the other Minor added after it. With more than two they’d basically be numbered sequentially. This changed later on when women got more individual names, though.

Yeah. He had 11 siblings, all named after the months. Obviously.

And only one (maybe 2) was named after the month they were born in, right?
