I was unable to open an XPS document (* extra WTF about this below) so searched Google for 'XPS Viewer', and ended up here: http://hewsoft.com/xps.aspx
I'm not sure if that's a joke, if those people live in a country where everyone looks 15 years old, or if they are actually 15 years old. Also, I wonder how that 'company' makes money, as I don't really see anything they sell or whatever on that site, just crappy guides and links to off-site downloads.
*) The XPS WTF: I received an XPS-document by mail, so saved it to my desktop. When I tried to open it, FireFox opened and asked where to download it to, or which program to open it with. When I selected "XPSViewer.Default", the same happened again and I realised it wouldn't quite open (however I managed to open it with 'Open with... Internet Explorer' from the right-click menu).

Last time I checked, the very firs link went to Microsoft XPS viewer download. Why didn't you go straight there?

Name Server.......... ns2.officelive.comWell they obviously got a free domain through Microsoft Office Live and then used MS's Site builder to make the website. That or Microsoft made a crappy website to promote their XPS viewer LOL.
Also, their "Windows Vista" guide includes guides on MS Office 2007 and IE7, which are separate programs.

It's completley idiotic but Microsoft built the XPS viewer into Internet Explorer, then they set XPS documents to open in the default browser. Firefox dosen't know what to do with them and so just lets you save it again.
Simple solution is to just right click and open with Internet Explorer, make sure to check always open this file with this program.

Or install the IETab extension (http://ietab.mozdev.org/) and then add a filter for xps extensions or modify the mht filter to read:
/^file:\/\/\/.*\.(mht|mhtml|xps)$/

I agree 100% - I hate stuff that breaks when you change your default browser from IE to anything else.However, a standalone XPS viewer is available as well, for anyone that wants it:

It seems to be a basic rule that when you want links to open in your default browser, they open in IE, and when you want links to open in IE, they open in your default browser. Visual Studio's "Check for Updates", for example, uses your default web browser, even though the updates system relies on Windows Update.

Yes, that's much simpler than just opening it with IE.

That link doesn't seem to work, by the way Windows 7 includes a standalone XPS viewer, so I guess they know about the problem :P
