Big deal. The quote is almost universally given in the form the Nautilus message uses, and they mean the same freaking thing. It'd be a pretty weak allusion if nobody got it.

No, I'm pretty sure it's not. Adapting a phrase, while keeping the general meaning, to a different situation is a paraphrasis. Two words that mean the same thing are synonymous. Care to explain?
