As you can see, it's an IDE. So wouldn't that be an IDE for a rape-simulator game?

  •  Yeah, I can never seem to reach example.com either.

  • That's an argument I want to see tested in court: "The installer never gave me a EULA". That is if EULAs are still considered enforceable anyways.

The other EULA argument I want to see tested is what would happen if a minor installed the software.

Just use example.com's IP address: 127.0.0.1.

You know, my cat sometimes walks on my keyboards, and modern interfaces are so overloaded with keyboard shortcuts that she never fails to trigger some interesting things. I'm sure installing some software and accepting the EULA are not out of her reach.

I don't. Oh, yes, UF is god-awful, but it's obviously god-awful; you're not going to lose any respect for someone when they tell you they like UF, because you never had respect for them in the first place.

xkcd is subtly awful. It may not be as shitty as UF, but it's highly revered for being "clever", which I find much more nauseating. Also, when friends and loved ones tell you they like it, you just have to nod and try not to look ashamed for them. You can't start screaming at them that they are fucking morons who wouldn't know clever humor or good taste if it shat into their open, quivering, expectant mouth.

In summary: UF is a crackpot who says we should kill all black people, but nobody listens to his ranting. xkcd is a crackpot who says we should take away black people's vote and has millions of followers. I am much, much more troubled by the latter.

    (Insert Roseanne here)

I actually did this once. I was actually amazed how well it worked; he became furious to a hilarious degree, threatening to hack me "harder" and sue me for "counter-attacking" him. Gotta love incompetent script-kiddies and their non-idiot-proof tools...

I don't understand how people can think that humour has to be clever. It must be hell to only appreciate clever humour :(.

I didn't say humor had to be clever, I said that xkcd isn't clever (and it's not funny in any other way) and that people who called it clever made me sick.

No, they were asking for a cleaver. They wanted to cut it off.

I can't. Apparently once you accept the salesforce license agreement, it will never ever ask you for it again, even if you uninstall and re-install the software.

Maybe they set a registry key or some other bullshit

Most did (though they usually showed hostnames). Nowadays it depends - many networks have cloaks, but the old-school ones (eg. EFNet) still show your hostname or IP.

I thought most just showed finger results, which is why you had people with hostnames like "awesome-dude.has-a-big-wang.awesome-wang".
