Unusual Music Thread

I am a massive fan of electronic music, especially anything that came out of the 80s. I tend to be into a lot of strange metal / hiphop and electro.
Had this recommended by a friend on Facebook.
-
@lucas1 Sounds a bit like Kraftwerk on acid.
-
I never listened to Kraftwerk. I was always about the hip hop electro scene:
-
@lucas1 I'm more of a pure electronic music stuff myself. Any vocals are just necessary evil. So yeah, rapping definitely doesn't suit me.
What is even unusual these days? Whatever weird genre you find it turns out there are a bunch of fans of it already, because Internet. I mean, dubstep went pretty much mainstream FFS.
-
It was just a bit of fun to share some musical tastes.

You shouldn't have asked that.

The video is from a very odd film. I quite like the film mainly for the ideas , rather than the film itself.

Get you some Raster Noton.

The GG soundtrack (btw ace 2d beat-em-up) is very much like "baby-metal" as @Vaire posted.
-
Wow. Soundcloud has great fallback when it's partially blocked (or something):

Fighting game.
Bought Reload a few days ago and tried to play it, but the cooperation with X360 controller is a bit wonky. Really hard to actually get those combos thrown with both the analog and D-pad, and since up jumps it's easy to lose control.
I'm also utterly terrible at fighting games, but that's a wholly different matter.
-
@Maciejasjmj guilty gear is one of the most technical games in the genre. They also make blazblue, which is much easier to get started with.
And arcana 3 love max... And some fantasy themed fighter? Haven't tried that last one.
-
Unusual you say?
I happened to be listening to some acceptable DNB fusion whatever, then notice that the artist, Venetian Snares, is supposedly the one who made breakcore popular.
So I search for it and landed on this bit of unusual music:

I think the preview image is fitting for how you feel after listening to this -

@JBert 4 minutes in, I think I'm done, but would probably listen to some of this sometimes...

@Bort That must have been the fault of the record company, likely their database wouldn't work with
\n
.
-
@Bort One has to wonder though if he would be willing to name his next album "Forlorn'); DROP TABLE Artists; --".

This was UK hip hop IMO beating the American's back in the late 80s / early 90s.
