None other is desperate enough.
-
I don't see why an extension couldn't allow for it.

I've been writing on this webpage a lot using Chrome. Heck, as I understand it, even Firefox 22 will work.

I still haven't been able to think of a case where that was useful. Seems to be merely a plug for the OneNote app.
-
@anonymous234 I imagine it can be handy to keep track of the last post you read on NodeBB

That is a useful product. I was making good use of EverNote, but now I am using OneNote due to policies at this client loc.

What is F12 nonsense?
Press F12 and then you can edit content on page by changing value in tags. That is F12 nonsense.

No. I just click the "Reply" button and then the "Submit" button. No developer tools required!

@boomzilla
Obvious not. You need to have 12 strand DNA to do this.
I am trying to activate mine.

@Nagesh Pshaw. If my DNA were inactive I wouldn't be able to write on this webpage!

Of course it saves battery. It's hard to drain battery when it crashes every 5 minutes

Any other browser
letting me do thisrandomly closing windows you're reading every time you close your laptop to go to a meeting?No. Actually, I don't think it's random, at least not entirely. My windows with a radio station's online streaming (with any other tabs in the same window, such as their playlist) and my ISP's webmail page get closed every single time.

Just because Microsoft has released unavoidable updates that reduce the stability of Chrome doesn't make their browser better.
-
Well actually... http://dudl.me/

The latest "glory" of Edge: I have a window with one tab. I click the + to open a new tab. Edge displays "Where to next? Search or enter web address" without any of the MSN click-bait that normally fills a new tab, and without creating a new tab. The window still has only one tab. The tab title still says the name of the radio station I am streaming, and the music is still playing, but there are no longer any controls to interact with. The back button isn't grayed-out, but it doesn't do anything; neither does the reload button. F12 thinks I'm looking at the original tab.

So, you're not only using FF22, but you're still on a CRT ?

Not anymore.
And I was technically IN the CRT...

IMO Chrome crash much much more often than MS Edge.
I have two webgames that use Unity HTML5 to render content. Both of the games can run smoothly on Edge and Firefox, but when try to run it on Chrome it crashes every 30 minutes to 1 hour.
This leads to something interesting that, when the games initially released, their only recommanded environment is Chrome. A month later Safari and Firefox is added, and about two weeks ago, the company secretly removed Chrome from the recommanded browser list. (That means it's not officially unsupported, just no longer a recommanded choice)
I play about 5 games on that website. Ideally I should switch to Firefox but unfortunately for some reason the map of one of the game will not render on Firefox. There is another game that will be very sluggish in MS Edge but since I use "Auto" to play the battles it causes little trouble for me. So I'm playing the games on Edge these two weeks.
Fun fact: None of these games ever put MS Edge in their "supported" browser lists.

That's impressive. I don't remember the last time Chrome crashed for me, but then...it's Linux.
-
@boomzilla Yup.
I think their QA process is doing bad lately. I think in Chrome v4X the browser is still very solid and stable. Only after v49 or 50 that I witness lots of subtle bugs come to surface.
Then again it's only starting this year our web application undergoes heavy reramp on UI to move to HTML5 standard, and those HTML5 games are only available since last year.

I will confess that I don't play many HTML5 games.
-
@boomzilla Ohhh Flash games, then?
-
@Erufael Games? Games‽ We don't need no stinking...games!

Don't make fun of it just because it's a bit slow! Sometimes it temporarily forgets minor details like how to open or close tabs, but it all gets sorted out eventually. It's just a differently-abled browser.

@HardwareGeek you have weird problems with Edge. Mine's been fine since the anniversary update ironed out a few bugs. My only complaint is that it never leaves me logged in to WTDWTF, or saves my username and password
-
I like how in German, Edge is pronounced like "Ätsch", which in turn means "Nyahh Nyahh Nyahh!"
-
My only complaints with edge are that the interface is God awful and there's no extensions.
I haven't used it for anything other than downloading other browsers, which is why these are my only complaints.
