3D implementation issues

  • Got this today in the mail, forwarded by a friend and i had a WTF moment when i saw how the builders decided to set the stairs:

  • That has got to be a fake, though it's a pretty good one. I think it might be a model building with the backdrop added in Photoshop; don't the walls seem strangely thin?

But either way, nobody could really be that stupid, could they?

  • Can a mod move this to "Funny Stuff"?  Thanks.

The fact that you are asking that question shows that you are lamentably isolated from the real world.

NO!  BAD!   *smacks with rolled-up newspaper*

  • Re: Only in Malta

Haha, welcome in Malta. This picture is real, I think it somewhere in this gallery: http://www.onlyinmalta.com/oim/imagepages/imageoim1.html

I see this kind of construction everywhere on the island.  ;)

Here is another briliant example: http://www.onlyinmalta.com/oim/imagepages/imageoim33.html

    Bad page-resizing-on-EVERY-FUCKING-PAGE-LOAD script!

Also, if you're from Malta, you need a better avatar. Try this one:

Hey morbius, just wondering, without derailing the thread, what's the bad thing about referencing xkcd?

I personally don't mind it if it's relevent but is there some specific reason it shouldn't be done?

    Because it's overoveroveroveroveroveroverreferenced.

Seriously, if the whole body of your post is a link, make it be to something that not everybody knows about.

  • Looks fake to me. I don't care how bad the builders in malta are, but i don't think cement can be that thin and still hold.(talking about the top stairs)

Sure it can, if properly reinforced.

  • LMAO!!!!

    OMG THAT IS HILARIOUS!!!

  • This is real.  I remember having seen another photo of the building (taken from a different point of view) on failblog.org.
